EILEEN EDNA FRIEND (nee FRAME) On April 27, 2018, Eileen Edna Friend passed peacefully, with her daughter by her side at Alta Vista Manor in Ottawa. Daughter of the late Edna (Warren) and Angus Frame of Lenore, Manitoba. Eileen was a talented pianist and an accomplished artist of considerable fame. A lover of nature and the natural outdoors, her paintings of the Ottawa Canal grace the walls of embassies and personal collections all over the world. Despite her considerable accomplishments in life, Eileen was most proud of her devotion to being a wife and mother. Wife to her beloved late husband and inseparable life partner John Friend. Sister to the late Margaret; mother of Catherine Couture and David (Jo-ann); grandmother of Laura and Daniel; and great-grandmother of Paige. A private celebration of life will be held in Ottawa. Donations may be made in her name to the Canadian Diabetes Foundation. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Beechwood Funeral, Cemetery and Cremation Services, Ottawa.
