HEATHER MAUREEN ADAMS 1969 - 2018 It is with deep sorrow we announce the passing of Heather Adams at Grace Hospital following a lengthy illness on Saturday, April 28, 2018. Left to mourn Heather's passing are her father Digby Meadmore; mother Louise Adams; brothers, Bradley Meadmore and Robert Meadmore (wife Michelle); nephew Chris; along with uncles, aunts and several cousins. She was predeceased by her loving partner Allan. Heather was raised on a farm in a family that included a wonderful grandmother who passed on to her a profound love for gardening which continued throughout her life. After graduation from Elm Creek Collegiate, Heather attended the University of Manitoba and graduated with a Bachelor of Education followed by a year in Quebec to become fully bilingual. At the time of her passing, Heather was employed by CN Rail for many years where she made many lasting friendships. Her happiest times were spent playing golf, curling, running and travelling where she indulged her adventurous spirit. Nothing pleased Heather more than digging and planting in her own yard unless it was cooking and baking. Sincere gratitude to cousins, Dr. Della Winters-Lee, Jennifer Delavau and very special friends, David Horn and Vicky Sturtridge who supported and assisted the family unsparingly. In keeping with Heather's wishes, there will be no service. Friends wishing to honour her memory may consider donating to Siloam Mission or Craig Street Cats. • What a wonderful lady. Those conversations that always lasted longer than we bargained on. I will miss her so much. - Posted by: Bruce Thomson (Friend) on: May 05, 2018

  • Heather always put a smile on my face and will continue to do so whenever I think of her. We both shared a passion for garden flowers and loved to go for walks on our lunch breaks. Once our department was cut we moved on to different jobs and lost touch. I was so sad to find out Heather was so ill and didn't get the chance to reconnect. I will miss you. - Posted by: Rita (Former Co-worker) on: May 05, 2018

  • I’ve known Heather for a good 6 years. She was a great customer of mine and would come visit me multiple times a day. We shared many laughs together about silliness that we would share in common. She was such a light to see every day. I know she had many struggles in life, but that didn’t stop her from smiling every day or joking around. I will miss seeing Heather. It brings me comfort that she is reunited with the love of her life Alan. Heather you are at peace now. I’ll miss seeing you sunshine. Melly - Posted by: Melanie (Friend) on: May 05, 2018
