ANDREW LAWRENCE HINES 1937 - 2018 Andrew passed away at the age of 81, predeceased by his father Harry, his mother Florence, and his sister Vi. He is survived by his daughters, Pamela (Darrell) and Kim (Dave), sister Josie, and his ex-wife Elizabeth whom he remained friends with over the years. Andrew's passion was golfing and he spent countless hours on golf courses of Manitoba. He loved his golf, he was one of the few men that could spend countless hours on end watching golf on T.V. Andrew was an avid sports fan. He loved his hockey and the NFL. In his early years Andrew loved to curl and bowl. He had a love for the outdoors and enjoyed camping and fishing, gardening and many cross country road trips, especially the ones out west to Grand Forks, BC, Vancouver and Vancouver Island to visit family, he was always on the go. Once retired from the Federal government, where he worked in the Telecommunications Department for Environment Canada, he devoted his time to his passion of golf, which he never tired of. A man of firm opinions and deep emotions, Andrew was his own man with abiding convictions about his place in the world. Andrew's attitude towards others and life stood out to all who knew him. Cremation has taken place and the ashes will be spread at places he loved. A memorial service will take place on Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Faith Church, 386 McGregor Street, Winnipeg Manitoba.
