Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJULES JULIEN GERARDY May 13, 1930 - May 4, 2018 It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our wonderful father, husband, grandfather and friend, who was surrounded by his family, at Middlechurch Home of Winnipeg on Friday, May 4, 2018. He was predeceased by his mother, father, five brothers and five sisters. Left to cherish his memory is his wife Odile, his children, Mike (Jenny), Dan (Heather), Charlie (Kim), Colette (Darin) and Janet (Dean), his grandchildren, Michael, Nathan, Matthew, Bethany, Hannah-Rose, Jacob, Elizabeth, Scott, Stacey, Kyle, Chantal, Dylan, Jagger and Savannah, his great-grandchildren, Grace, Mazen and Olivia, his sisters, Bernadette, Cecile, Angeline, and numerous nieces and nephews. Jules grew up in St. Labre, Manitoba and moved to Winnipeg in 1957 to start a family with his soul mate of 59 years. He was an autobody mechanic by trade but his true passion was spending time with his family. Jules loved taking his grandchildren for tractor rides, playing croquet and lawn darts at the cabin. He could build anything he put his mind to, including his very own violin at the age of 17, which he loved playing for friends and family. He was a simple man with a heart of gold and we will miss him dearly. We would like to express our gratitude to the staff at Middlechurch Home of Winnipeg for keeping our father comfortable during this difficult time. A celebration of his life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 10 at the Elim Mennonite Church, 30 Main St, Grunthal, MB.

I have memories of spending great moments with Jules and his family when we travelled to St-Boniface. Laughter, stories, violin and a lot of sharing. I'll never forget he's calm and his great heart. My thoughts are with my cousins, my aunt Odile and all the Gerardy family at this difficult time. Love you all. - Posted by: Diane Poncelet (Nephew) on: May 09, 2018

There has never been a kinder or gentler man in this world. He was my second dad all through my childhood and in my teen years. I have so many fond memories of him. He had a beautiful smile, a wonderful laugh and a huge heart. My thoughts are with all you at this very difficult time. - Posted by: Rachelle Thacker ("daughter") on: May 09, 2018

Pete as I always called him was one of the sweetest men I ever knew. He was always there to offer a helping hand to whoever needed it. He brought much happiness and joy to my sister for almost 59 years. Always wanted to please, and never a harsh word to anyone. He will be missed greatly...
