My deepest sympathy to Sam's daughters and their families. I was so sorry to learn the sad news from Enid. I have such lovely memories of Sam, including the time he brought Boomie to our home to introduce her to our family when they became engaged. My father Motl Coodin and Sam's mother Ruchel were twins, so Sam was a first cousin to me and my siblings. - Posted by: Tzipie Coodin Freedman (cousin) on: May 10, 2018

Sam was a friend of my husband Willy Moser and husband of my friend Boomy Rosen. Sam and Willy were in the Canucks club of 18 boys and Boomy and I were in the Gabalots, a club at the Y.M.H.A. of 12 girls. When I was engaged to be married to Willy, who was studying at the University of Toronto, he asked Sam to take me to my graduation dance because Willy couldn’t make it. So I have pleasant memories of Sam. Over the years, whenever I saw him, usually at the Asper Centre, he would always be cracking a few jokes. Of the 18 boys in his club, only David Cohen in Boston and Jack Chisvin in Toronto are left. They are 90 years old.
