Jack and I first met playing minor league football for the Westfort Ukes. We became good friends attending Westgate high school and Lakehead University together. Jack and I got into our share of trouble together having lots of laughs along the way. Jack was a good friend and always had my back. During our university days Jack would pick me up each day in his 68 Ford Custom. We were in the same course, played intramural hockey together and went to many parties. When I think of Jack I smile thinking of all the fun we had. I had the privilege of seeing and talking with Jack and Josie a few weeks ago. We shared memories, a few laughs and some tears. When I said good bye we both knew it would be for the last time. I’ll miss you Jack. My thoughts are with Josie. - Posted by: Bud Knauff (Friend) on: May 15, 2018

I first met Jack when he came to Winnipeg to continue working with Safeway. I found out that he had worked for Safeway in Thunder Bay and went to TB university. He talked a lot of hockey and he continued playing it. I see in the obit, he continued on with hockey and with coaching. I worked with him in HR. Jack went into the grocery buying department and we met and talked at coffee breaks over the years at head office. I think he went into the food brokerage business with one of the companies after Safeway. I may be wrong. Jack had a sense of humour and could get serious at times. Miss you. - Posted by: colin dederick (co-worker) on: May 12, 2018
