ANNA MAE REHN-NOBISS September 13, 1949 May 15, 2018 After enduring several years of medical and health complications, Anna passed away on May 15, 2018, at the age of 68 years. She was predeceased by her husband Rick Nobiss, in 2014. She leaves to mourn her daughter Debbie; son-in-law David; and grandsons, Cole and Seth. Anna worked hard her entire life to provide for her family, sometimes holding two jobs at the same time. She spent most of her career as a school bus driver before retiring early, due to a back injury. Anna had a special and memorable personality. She had a razor-sharp sense of sarcasm, a dark sense of humour and enjoyed giving people a "hard time". If you didn't know her well enough, you'd think she was serious. She also had a great love of chocolates and sweets. As far as she was concerned, you could never have too much. She loved her grandsons fiercely and took pride in everything they did and relished in any opportunity to spoil them. In keeping with Anna's wishes, cremation has taken place and a funeral mass will be held on Thursday, May 24, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Timothy's Roman Catholic Church, 135 John Forsyth Road. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Winnipeg Humane Society. Anna loved her pets greatly and it broke her heart when she had to give them up due to her deteriorating health. A special thanks to the numerous doctors, nurses and hospital workers who treated Anna with dignity and compassion over the past several years, in particular Dr. Peter Kuegle, her primary physician. Dear Debbie, David, Cole and Seth, We are so saddened by the news of Anna passing away so soon. I am honoured and blessed to have met her. Her unique soul will remain in my heart and I will definitely think of her every time I eat chocolates! Please know that our thoughts are with you during this difficult time. The kids will for sure miss her grandma but they are certainly fortunate to have spent time with her. Our love and support will always be here for you. We pray for her eternal rest. Our warmest condolences, Irene and family (Moses, Matías and Romina) and Mónica (Jose’s wife). - Posted by: Irene Lesjak (Anna´s cousin, from Argentina) on: May 21, 2018
