Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDARLENE HARDER June 21, 1948 - May 20, 2018 On Sunday, May 20, 2018 at the Portage la Prairie Hospital in Manitoba, Darlene Harder (nee Martens), beloved wife, mother and grandmother, passed away suddenly at the age of 69. Darlene is survived by her husband of 51 years, Edward Harder; daughter Nicole (Doug), grandchildren, Chaizz, Justin and Tyler; son Vincent (Leanne), grandchildren, Charlie and Natalie; and son Braden (Lisa), grandchildren, Brinley, Rylen and Preston. She is predeceased by her brother Bill. The family would like to thank the Portage la Prairie ambulance services and the Portage la Prairie emergency room staff for their care and compassion. In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place. A private celebration of life will be held with close family and friends. My condolences to Ed and the family. Darlene and I had wonderful times at Kleysens and we did have a couple of lunches thereafter. Always thoughtful and kind and lots of laughs. Sad to hear of Darlene's passing. Deepest sympathy to her husband and family. I would sit with the ladies for coffee every other Friday. Darlene was always a pleasure to chat with. Always had stories that made us laugh. Compassionate, wonderful lady. She will be missed at the Chicken Chef. We burnt a candle for you today Darlene.
