Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWILLIAM FRANK ROTH 1935 - 2018 It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of William Roth, of Fannystelle, Manitoba, on May 23, 2018 at the age of 82, after a brief illness. William will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 50 years, Eva (Trcek), his daughters, Barb (David Davidson) and Donna (Doug Borland), and his grandchildren, Eryn and Kenna. William is also survived by his brothers, Albert (Helen) and Donald, and numerous nieces and nephews. William was predeceased by his son John, and his sister Mary (Bouchard). William was born in Weyburn, Saskatchewan on August 17, 1935 to a farming family. The family lived in the Weyburn area for 14 years before moving to Wisconsin in 1946 where they spent another three years running a mixed-use farm. The family ultimately relocated back to Canada, settling near Fannystelle in 1949. William spent his whole life in agriculture, farming in the Fannystelle area until 2001. He remained on the family farm after retirement, continuing to tend to the yard and lending a helping hand to neighbours with agricultural duties when needed. He loved to stay close to home, enjoying the farm, the yard, the fresh air, and the natural beauty. He was an avid reader, and he always enjoyed friends dropping by and having a good visit over a beer or two. The family would like to thank the staff of Health Sciences Centre for their compassionate care during William's hospital stay. Funeral services will be held at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Fannystelle, Manitoba on Tuesday, May 29, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in the Parish Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity of choice. Adam's Funeral Home of Notre Dame de Lourdes, Manitoba in care of arrangements. Phone 204-248-2201 or 1-888-400-2326.
