Dear Jo-Anne & Arthur, so sorry to hear about the passing of your sister (in-law). I am finding out rather late or would have offered my condolences sooner. I know you will feel her loss keenly. My deepest condolences Harvey and Richard I don't need to tell you what am amazing woman Robyn was! I first met her in her policy role with government when I recall lobbying her about changes to provincial family law legislation. She really listened and she really cared. Later of course in her role in the Family Division I appeared before her many times as counsel. Such a pleasure to engage with someone with such a deep committment and knowledge. I also had the opportunity to enjoy Robyn socially. What a wonderful sense of humor! The family bench, bar, and litigants are all the poorer with her loss. - Posted by: Jennifer Cooper (colleague) on: Jun 07, 2018

I met Robyn at the Wellness Institute a few years ago. Although we were just casual acquaintances, whenever we saw each other we always chatted. I sure will miss seeing her at the gym. Ivan and I send our deepest condolences to Harvey and the family. - Posted by: Judy Winnicky (Friend) on: Jun 02, 2018

Joanne, I don't know if you even remember me, but I worked with you for a few years, many years ago at Dr. Gorski's office on Cathedral and Main. I know how very close you were to your family, and I felt I just had to send you my condolences on your sister's passing! I am so very sorry for your loss! - Posted by: Sharon Lefley (Thiessen) (Former coworker of Robyn's sister) on: Jun 02, 2018

Appeared before her at the family division. Years after heard stories about her time in law school, that she attended with her (later on) husband and Terry Gutkin, all members of my loving jewish community and the local legal profession. On behalf of my daughters and me, sorry for your loss. Michael Kalo - Posted by: Michael kalo (Litigant) on: Jun 01, 2018

I had the pleasure of appearing as a lawyer before Justice Diamond many times. In fact, I argued my first motion in front of her as a nervous articling student fresh out of law school. Justice Diamond took the time afterwards to offer words of encouragement and advice. I will always remember her as fair, polite, no nonsense, and a wonderful example of the best qualities of a great judge. I am deeply saddened by her passing. Please accept my condolences. - Posted by: Robert Pellizzaro (lawyer) on: Jun 01, 2018

Harvey, your sons & Joanne, I was shocked when I heard the news of Robyn's passing yesterday. We grew up together and shared many wonderful times on Mellish Avenue. We reconnected when I was in Winnipeg for my Dad's funeral in Oct 2015. I was so proud of what Robyn had accomplished and now I am so sorry that her passing has left such a void in your lives. May her memory be a blessing. Be strong, she left a wonderful legacy. Please accept our condolences and expressions of sympathy. I had the pleasure of appearing before Madam Justice Diamond many many times over the past 29 years. I remember one of the first trials that I assisted with when I was an articling student was before Her Ladyship just shortly after she was appointed to the Bench. She was always gracious to counsel and the parties who appeared before her. She will be sadly missed. My thoughts and prayers go to Her Ladyship's family at this very sad time. - Posted by: Karen Burwash (Lawyer) on: May 30, 2018

I have fond memories of Robyn and will miss her smile and neverending compliments about my smile. She is the ONLY PERSON in my life who persistently knew how to make me feel GREAT every time I saw her. My only regret is that health issues on both of our parts prevented us from seeing each other. I will miss her but never as much as her loving and caring family who stood by her. You guys are the best! - Posted by: David Grant (Friends) on: May 30, 2018
