DOUGLAS PRITCHARD Douglas Pritchard "Shorty" passed away peacefully after a long battle with COPD at age 68 at the Victoria General Hospital with his daughter Donna, sisters-in-law, Bernice and Yvonne and lifelong friend Coleen by his side. On September 18, 1949, Douglas was born in Kenora, Ontario. He leaves behind his three children, Douglas Jr., Donna (James) of Winnipeg; daughter Dodie (Shauna) of Kelowna; brother Ronald of BC and sister Gloria Collie of Winnipeg; grandchildren, Nychole, Tyler (Katie), Christopher (Ceilina), Kayla, Haley and Samantha; great-grandson Carter; numerous nieces, nephews, and loyal friends. He was predeceased by his father Arthur (1977); mother Lucille (2003); sister Margaret (1988); brother Donald (1993, Kenneth (1993), and brother-in-law Brian Collie (2015). Douglas will be remembered in all the hearts and lives he touched. The family would like to respect his wishes of no memorial services and his ashes are expected to be spread by his family. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his name to the Manitoba Lung Association, 301-1 Wesley Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3C 4C6.
