THEODOR K. WIEBE Unexpectedly, on June 3, 2018, Theodor K. Wiebe went home to be with Jesus. He will be lovingly remembered and missed by all who knew him, including his life partner Terry and her family; his daughters and their families: Heidi (Jason) and their children, Rayne and Jaden; Amanda (James) and their children, Kyla (Cora and Hunter), Victoria and Theodora. He is also survived by extended family Sheldon, Janice, Linda and her family, and Jake and his family, as well as two amigos, Colin and Henry. Dad was born February 1, 1950 in Loma Plata, Paraguay. He moved to Canada at the age of 21. He made his living as a commercial truck driver, which gave him the opportunity to meet many new people. Dad was very opinionated, but he always had room for more friends and was always available to give a helping hand. He enjoyed music, the outdoors, hunting and fishing. He had a strong faith and loved babysitting his grandchildren. Dad was known for his casual dress and his Paraguayan cowboy boots (flip flops). Please feel free to dress this way to honour him. Viewing will be held on Friday, June 8, 2018 at Friends Funeral Service, 2146 Main Street, from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be on Saturday, June 9, 2018 at Friends Funeral Service, with viewing at 11:00 a.m. and service at 11:30 a.m. Interment will take place at Grunthal Cemetery at 2:30 p.m. following faspa. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Mennonite Central Committee.

Condolences & Memories (2 entries)

  • Terry: So sorry to hear about your husbands passing. May Theodor rest in peace. - Posted by: Edward & Yvonne Hillcoff (Terry's cousin) on: Jun 12, 2018

  • My family is truly saddened to hear this news. We have lived across the street from this amazing man for 14 years now. My children have grown up knowing the nice weather was here because “buddy across the street” (as they called him) was out on his stairs having a drink and talking on the phone laughing. I’m going to miss those moments. My deepest condolences to Terry and the entire family. ~ the Wiebe family from across the street. - Posted by: Hildi (Neighbor ) on: Jun 07, 2018
