STELLA LABOSSIERE (nee BOUCHARD) July 17, 1930 - May 30, 2018 Peacefully, with family by her side, our dear, sweet Mom and Grandy, Stella passed away at Action-Marguerite on May 30, 2018. It gives us comfort to think of her leaving her illness behind and joining her beloved late husband Paul. Left to mourn her passing and celebrate her life are: her son Ron (Cindy, Jenna and Matthew), her daughter Elaine McKenna (Chuck, Ryan, Kaitlin (Jeremy, Owyn and Noah Major) and her son Dan (Ginny, Giles, Lexie, Keith and Liam) and also her brothers and sisters, Terry Beaudin, Sally Martin and Tony and George Bouchard. She also leaves behind many extended family members whom she loved dearly. Stella was born and raised on a farm in Elie, Manitoba, the sixth of 11 children, where she developed her ability to work all day at a speed very few of us could match. As an adult she moved to St. Rose du Lac to become a nurse where she met and married Paul, the love of her life. Stella's ability to comfort the sick and her desire to help others must have made her a fantastic nurse. Together she and Paul raised three children. Stella did the bookkeeping for the family businesses while maintaining the home and keeping it all running smoothly. She loved her family completely and was truly the warmest, most devoted and selfless mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Stella loved children - all children - and could not resist them. Her caring ways, made them all feel safe. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her pride and joy and she loved them fiercely and they all adored her. She was always ready to help out someone in need and she and Paul often entertained family and friends at 442 or at Gull Lake. She worked behind the scenes and was disinclined to take any credit for her effort. Stella loved music, painting, dancing and having fun. She listened a lot more than she spoke and laughed a lot more than she complained. Even as her dementia progressed over the years her enduring spirit and her huge heart shone brightly, and she was an inspiration to us all. Stella's family would like to extend their gratitude to the kind and attentive staff at Action-Marguerite that cared so well for Mom over the past five years. You are very special people. A Funeral Mass will take place at St. Bernadette Parish, 820 Cottonwood Rd. on June 22 at 11:00 a.m.
