He is survived by his wife Jolanda, their sons, Curwin (Jill) Friesen and Corey (Holly) Friesen as well as by five grandchildren, one sister, and one brother. He was predeceased by his daughter Connie Renee Friesen, his parents, Peter S. and Sarah Friesen, one sister and one brother. A celebration of Menno's life will be held on Monday, June 18, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at the Millennium Exhibition Centre (MEC) in Altona (227 10 Ave. NW, Altona, MB). A private family burial will take place prior to the service. Donations in memory of Menno H. Friesen may be made to the Altona Community Foundation. I was very saddened to hear about Menno's struggles and eventual passing. Condolences to Jolanda, Curwin and Corey and family. I have many stories of Menno, too numerous to mention. He was one of a kind and still mentioned fondly at meetings with many quoting his "Over is Over and Under is Under" Menno-ism. I was very fortunate when he gave me the opportunity to advance my career with Golden West in Rosetown and Kindersley and I will be forever grateful.
