Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryARTHUR LESLIE ANGUS December 22, 1925 - June 12, 2018 It is with great sadness at our loss, joy at the love he gave us, and comfort from an abundance of beautiful memories that we announce the passing of Arthur, just 10 days shy of the 75th Anniversary of his joining the Royal Canadian Air Force. Arthur was born to Leslie Angus and Mabel Bruce, on his grandparents' farm in Miniota, Manitoba, and grew up on the Bruce family farm until he left to join the Royal Canadian Air Force, where he trained as a Navigator and saw service overseas. He remained with the Royal Canadian Air Force for a few years after the war, flying between Edmonton and Whitehorse along the Alaska Highway posts. His last job was with Cottrell Forwarding in Winnipeg as a dock hand until retirement at the end of 1990. In 1985, he married Adeline (nee Duda), and they enjoyed their retirement years playing crib, bowling, dancing, and driving to British Columbia every summer. Arthur was involved in organizing the Manitoba Society of Seniors Games and the cribbage games at the Fort Garry Legion. Arthur leaves to mourn his passing, his wife Adeline, her daughters, Valerie and Wendy, and his children from a previous marriage, Mike Angus, Jennifer Angus and Sophie Eastman. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 16, at the Fort Garry Legion, 1125 Pembina Highway. As per Art's wishes, cremation has taken place. Private interment at Glen Eden Cemetery at a later date. INTEGRITY Cremation & Funeral Planning 204 295 5408 - IntegrityDeathCare.com

To Jennifer, the entire Angus family and their friends. Howard and I would like to express our deepest sympathy at the passing of your father. Arthur must have been a remarkable man, because he helped to raise a remarkable you. Although your grief is stinging hard today, I hope that in time, your sadness will turn into a sentimental joy, when remembering happy times together. As free Canadians, we are proud of your Dad. We appreciate the sacrifices that he and his family made, when as a young man, he left his home to serve overseas. Remember that love never dies and that your Dad will always live in your heart. - Posted by: Mary Sarsfield and Howard Chatterton (Friends) on: Jun 16, 2018
