BARRY CHAPMAN Peacefully, Barry passed on Thursday, June 7, 2018 surrounded by his family at the age of 74 years. Barry was a devoted husband to the love of his life and best friend, Martha of 27 years. He was a loving and caring father and his legacy will live on through his three children, Tasia (Brant), Melina (Laszlo) and Alex (Susan). He was a fun-loving Grandpa/Papa to his grandchildren, Demetri, Andreas, Nikos, Alivia and to his fifth grandchild who is on the way. Barry is also survived by his brother and five sisters, Martha's family, and his best friend Freddy Thomas. Barry was an avid train enthusiast and worked for the railway for 36 years. Travelling, long drives in the country, shopping and dining were some of his passions. We will always remember you "Chapper" because of the love we felt from you and will always have for you. There will never be another one to replace you in our hearts. In honour of Barry's wishes, a private family service was held. Our heartfelt thanks go out to the caring and compassionate staff at Sturgeon Creek I Retirement Residence and the MICU in St. Boniface Hospital. Your life was a blessing, your memory a treasure, you are loved beyond words and missed beyond measure. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
