JAMES (JIM) EARL DIXON On Monday, June 11, 2018 after a courageous battle, Jim left the pain behind. Jim was born in Winnipeg on April 9, 1942. After being awarded a hockey scholarship, Jim earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1966 and pursued a civil service career in both Australia and Winnipeg. After retirement, Jim was able to devote more time to his passion for sports as well as spending time with family and his comrades at West Kildonan Legion branch No.30. He was a caring soul who loved animals and drives in the park. Jim will be missed by his many friends and family members. Obituary may also be found at www.friendsfs.ca.

  • My sincere condolences to Jim's family and friends. I met Jim once, when I was a teenager, and he came to BC to visit my grandparents. He was helpful when I contacted him for family details for the Dixon family genealogy I was working on, (and I continue to do so). I really appreciated his help, and hoped to meet him in the future.
