ANGELA LEE BARTEL June 23, 1981 - June 19, 2018 It's with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Angela. Having fought many health issues over her lifetime, Angela was not able to overcome a severe illness and is now at peace. She passed away on June 19, 2018, with mom and dad at her side in her room at St. Amant. Angela will be forever remembered by her mom (Gail), dad (Dieter), brother Adam (Tracy), nephews, Austin and Tyler, aunts, uncles and cousins. We are very appreciative of the care provided by all of the staff at the Victoria and Grace General Hospitals. The family would like to express heartfelt thanks for the dedication shown by Angela's doctor, her nurses and the rest of the staff at St. Amant, both past and present, for the loving and compassionate care they provided Angela with, which helped fulfill her life. A memorial service will be held on June 28, 2018, at 1:00 p.m., at Voyage Funeral Home, 220 Hespeler Avenue, Winnipeg. Private interment at Glen Eden Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to the St. Amant Foundation.

  • Hi Dieter (and Gail). Dieter you and I have spoken often about our children and the blessing and challenges they are. We love them more than life itself and have invested our lives in them. I was contemplating how I would feel, and can hardly imagine what you are going through at this time in your lives. I would like to say "I understand how you feel", but that would not be true. I don't think anyone can really understand how you feel.
