EDWIN CASMIR KANAROWSKI 1928 - 2018 It is with sad hearts we announce the passing of our beloved father, grandfather and friend. Dad passed away peacefully on June 20, 2018 at the age of 89. He was predeceased by his loving wife Shirley in 1998, daughter Sandra in 2009 and son Bill in 2016, parents, William and Francis, sister Helen and brother Edmund. Dad was born on July 19, 1928 in Fort Whyte, MB. His family settled in Beausejour, MB in 1933 and this was our Dad's home for the next 85 years. Dad met and later married the love of his life Shirley in 1959. His father Bill established a blacksmith shop in 1949 and was known throughout the district as a very fine craftsman. It was in his dad's shop that our father learned the welding trade and over the next several decades worked on projects big and small throughout Manitoba and Ontario. Our dad was a proud member of Local Union 254 Plumbers and Pipe Fitters. Our dad was a very devoted husband and father, and together with our mom provided a warm, loving home. Mom and Dad enjoyed entertaining friends and family at 730 Ashton where they made many happy memories together. Dad had many interests and passions. He grew a beautiful garden that was something to behold. He liked to cook and we will always remember his delicious homemade soups. Dad was very proud of his Polish heritage and spoke several languages. He loved classical music and was an avid reader, especially topics related to history and politics. Dad's gift for story telling, long talks about the good old days and entertaining friends with his warmth, generosity and wonderful sense of humour will be remembered by all. Dad is survived by his two daughters: Barbara and husband Dave (children, Jaclyn and Jeff) and Susan and husband Vance (children, Kate and Theren) and his son Joe. We would like to thank the staff at Thorvaldson Care Center for their outstanding care. A big thank you to the staff at Beausejour Hospital. In accordance with Dad's wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be a family gathering at a later date. Thank you for everything Dad, for your love, dedication and the values you instilled. You will be forever in our hearts.
