MARY GREEN With her daughter and close friends by her side, Mary Green passed away on June 12, 2018. Mary is remembered for her "gentle spirit and inquiring mind", as well as her great generosity to friends and family. She was a spiritual person, a believer in the power of human kindness. A retired librarian, Mary cherished community, and enjoyed in-depth conversation and gatherings with friends and family, reading and sharing books, music and singing, British dramas, bridge games, writing poetry, colouring and painting, and nature. She had a deep enduring love for coastal British Columbia. She will be greatly missed by her daughter Karen (and Brian), three loving nephews and their families, and many, many devoted friends. She was predeceased by two brothers whom she loved dearly. Mary cared very much about social justice issues. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to World Vision Canada, a charity Mary supported over the years. A celebration of life will take place between 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. on Friday, July 27 at the First Unitarian Universalist Church of Winnipeg, 603 Wellington Crescent at Academy Road. I treasure my memories of Mary in the friendship we shared, living at Eastern Star Chalet. I affirm her gentleness of spirit and eagerness for life and shared relationships with all. You are missed dear Mary, at the same time you are still with us in spirit. From Irene Pauls - Posted by: Ella Irene Pauls (Friend) on: Jul 01, 2018
