JOHN (TED) EDWARD FRANCIS It is with heavy hearts, the family of Ted Francis announces his passing on Thursday, June 21, 2018. He was predeceased by his parents, Elizabeth and Albert Francis; brother James Francis; and sisters, Jocelyn Botterill, Dorothy Francis and Betty Richardson. Ted is survived by his wife Pat; his children, John Francis (Tracy) and Pam Houlden (John); and his biggest pride and joys, his grandchildren, Amanda, Alex, Curtis and Carson. Ted was born in Winnipeg on January 31, 1934. He married the love of his life in 1958. He worked for the CN Rail his entire career. Ted was involved in numerous sports as a player, coach, and fan. He was inducted into the Manitoba Football Hall of Fame with the St. Vital Bulldogs in 2010, and the Manitoba Sports Hall of Fame in 2012. Throughout his retirement, one of his greatest joys was attending sporting events for all his grandchildren. The family wishes to thank the staff of Residence Despins for their wonderful care of Ted. In keeping with Ted's wishes, cremation and a private family interment has taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation. ejcoutu.ca
