Very sorry to hear of Uncle Alf's passing. I have so many good memories of our families getting together in Deloraine or Melita. I know how much he'll be missed. Thinking of you all. - Posted by: Jodine Loucks Boyd (Niece) on: Jul 15, 2018

I am very sorry to hear of Alf's passing. I think I may have run into only once or twice since his retirement. I have often wondered what he and Corrine have been up to ever since. Alf was one of the first Superintendents that I worked for at the Winnipeg International Mail Centre after joining Customs & Excise (now known as Canada Border Services Agency) in 1979. He was a terrific person to work for and work with. I don't ever recall him getting angry with any of the clerks or Customs Inspectors that he was in charge of. You could always count on one of his countless humorous stories or jokes to liven up the office. My sincerest condolences to his family and all his friends. - Posted by: Guy Wilde (Co-Worker) on: Jul 02, 2018

I remember Alfie coming to help my dad, Art, build our house at Boissevain. He stayed with us at a house we were renting outside of town. I was 4 years old so this would have been in 1948. I remember how patient he was with me - no doubt an annoying little pest! Many years later my partner and I were returning to Winnipeg from, I think, Barbados and there he was at the border services lineup we happened to choose at the airport! He let us through with no questions asked. I am sorry you have lost him but it seems he had a very good life. My condolences, Linda - Posted by: Linda Vincent (Cousin) on: Jul 01, 2018

So sorry to learn of Alfie’s passing. Of course I only have childhood memories of him at Grandma and Grandpa Judd’s. Sincere condolences to his family and thanks to Ronnie for letting us cousins know. - Posted by: Mary Jane (Vincent) Gordon (Cousin) on: Jun 30, 2018
