EILEEN DOROTHY ATKINSON (nee MORRISON) It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our mom, gramma and great-gramma. Predeceased by her husband Jack, of 57 years, brother Kenneth Morrsion (Doris), and sister Winnifred Snider (Cameron). She is survived by her sons, Dale and John (Cindy), daughter Joy (Tony), grandchildren, Matthew, Brooke (Dave), Megan (Keith), Brittany (Edward), Blair and Nikki (Dylan), and great-grandchildren, Emma, Finley, Ryker, Olivia and Preslie. Mom was born, raised and lived her entire life in St. Vital. She worked at The Hudson Bay Company in the credit office for many years. She married her sweetheart Jack in 1951 and they started their family in 1955. That same year they built a family cottage at Brereton Lake where many memories were made. Mom was able to enjoy the cottage right up to the end of last season. She also loved their annual vacations to Memphis and Florida with Dad's brother Keith and his wife Pat who was Mom's best friend through childhood. Mom was extremely proud of her family and never missed a chance to speak highly of each of them. We are blessed to have had a strong mom who raised us with much love and support. Right till the end Mom showed strength telling us "don't cry, I've had a great life". We love you Mom. You will forever be in our hearts. May you now rest in peace. In accordance with Mom's wishes cremation has taken place and a family service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, kindly make donations to The Winnipeg Humane Society. Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, Love leaves a memory no one can steal. E.J. COUTU & CO. FUNERAL DIRECTORS 204-253-5086 ejcoutu.ca
