Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARION ANNE DUDAR (née WOYCHUK) Marion passed away on May 11, 2018 at the Misericordia Hospital in Edmonton, Alberta at the age of 86 years. A longtime resident of West St. Paul, Manitoba, she and Mike moved to Sherwood Park, Alberta in 2005 to be closer to family. She is remembered and missed by her loving husband of 67 years, Michael Dudar, her son Michael Greg Dudar (Sharyn Matthews), and her daughter Kathy Mathieson (Paul Mathieson). Baba will also be missed by her grandchildren, Nathan Dudar (Katrina Judt), Jacqueline Rogers (Mike Rogers) and Jered Mathieson (Natalie Paul), and great-grandchildren, Abbygail and Lynden Rogers and Claire Mathieson. She is also survived by relatives in Winnipeg, Toronto, Calgary and Vancouver and will be missed by her many friends. Marion was well known in her community, having worked as an educational assistant at West St. Paul School for many years. She served as a member of the Manitoba Centennial Committee representing the Municipality of West St. Paul. She also was a founding board member of Folklorama which is still going strong to this day. Mike and Marion worked as a team, supporting their children's activities and became very involved in Boy Scouts, and the Seven Oaks Band Parents Association. Later, they became involved in the Masons, Shriners Khartoum Temple Provost Corps and Mom was a member of the Eastern Star. Marion was a remarkable hostess and we all have wonderful memories of special dinners with delicious food and much laughter. There was always room for one more person at an already crowded table. She passed on many wonderful Ukrainian traditions to her family and friends such as cross stitch, Easter eggs and recipes. Mom loved to read, knit and crochet and her newborn baby shawls were a coveted gift. Many of these shawls were made and donated to the Children's Hospital in Winnipeg. We all looked forward to "Baba Socks" at Christmas. A graveside interment of ashes will take place on Saturday, July 21, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the South Foley Community Cemetery, Winnipeg Beach, MB followed by a time of remembrance and sharing at the Selkirk Golf and Country Club. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Shriners Hospitals for Children-Canada are appreciated. www.shrinershospitalsforchildren.org/ Montreal/ways-to-give Thank you to those who have donated in Marion's memory.
