Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARCEL CAMIL LAGASSE March 23, 1935 - July 8, 2018 It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. Marcel passed away peacefully at the age of 83, with family by his side, at Health Sciences Centre on July 8, 2018. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his wife of 58 years, Dianna (née Pelletier); his children, Gil (Lisa), Colette (Richard) and Joel (Josée); his grandchildren, Alex, David (Jessica), Daniel (Charlin), Marc (Dez), Jessica, Noah and Mylène; and his great-grandchildren, Brianne, Bradley, Benjamin, Alice, Evelyn and Amelia. Also left to mourn are his sisters, Donalda and Claudette, his brother Roland (Liliane), and numerous nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law and many dear friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Amédée and Rose-Anna (Vermette) Lagassé; his brothers, Denis, Osias, Armand, Leonidas, Edgar, Raymond, Richard and Jean; and his sisters, Marie-Ange, Rolande and Eveline. Marcel was born in St. Adolphe, MB where he grew up on the family farm. He then raised his family on the farm, and worked at Manitoba Sugar Company until he retired at the age of 60. He loved to joke and always had a positive attitude. He enjoyed working in his yard, going for walks and watching wrestling. Marcel enjoyed his weekly involvement with the Club Amical on Thursdays, eating lunch with friends and calling bingo. He will also be missed at the Dakota Community Club where he and Dianna went to play floor curling on Tuesdays for the past 12 years. Respecting Marcel's wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family service has been held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Manitoba. The family wishes to thank the staff at Health Sciences Centre for their care and compassion. LECLAIRE BROTHERS 475 Provencher Blvd., in care of arrangements, 204-775-2220
