WALTRAUD (WALLY) MARTENS May 18, 1927 - July 17, 2018 On July 17, 2018, Mom passed away peacefully at home. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Werner (Linda), Christa (Len) and Richard (Cathy) and son-in-law Art. She will also be fondly remembered by her grandchildren, Kristy, Lisa, Brenda (Wayne), Kurt, Hayley and Brandon, great-grandchildren, Cole and Kate, and niece Kathleen (Juri, Rafael). She was predeceased by her husband Ernst (Ernie), and daughter Monika, as well as her parents and siblings. Mom was born in Braunschwieg, Germany and immigrated to Canada with her husband and daughter in 1947 to start a new life. They successfully raised a family and made many friends. Following Mom's wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family gathering will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba.
