Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARCELLE CARON (née PICHE) Peacefully on July 18, 2018, Marcelle passed away after a long and full life. Mom will be lovingly remembered and dearly missed by her sons, Ron (Mercedes) and Jim (Deena) along with her grandchildren, Charlene (Josh), Christian, Ryan and Scott (mother Shelley). Gramma especially treasured her great- grandchildren, Caden (mother Sara), Marcus and Olivia, all of whom called her "GiGi". She was also an honorary member of the Bernardin family and will be dearly missed by all. Marcelle is survived by her sisters-in-law, Lorraine Piche, Edith Caron and Isabelle Caron, brother-in-law Aime Caron and many nieces and nephews. Marcelle was predeceased by her parents, Charles and Marie Louise, her beloved husband Denis (Post) in 1985, her son Grant (Butchy) in 1959, all of her siblings: Roger, Bruno, Gertrude, Gaston (Joe), Jules, Gilberte, Rollie, Denise, Paul and infant Lionel and niece Diane Seidel. Marcelle was born in Fannystelle, MB on July 24, 1921. After leaving the family farm, Mom ventured into hairdressing and then most of her working years serving at the Charleswood Hotel. Always looking to keep busy, at 80 years of age Mom signed up as a volunteer at the Grace General Hospital and officially "retired from work" at 90. She enjoyed her later years living at Beauchemin Place and getting competitive at pool top, cards or bingo at the Charleswood Legion. Given her sporty nature, it is not surprising that she loved watching sports; a die-hard Winnipeg Jets fan and dedicated Blue Jays fan. The most important thing to Mom was her family. Nothing gave her more joy than to have everyone gathered around the dinner table. She was always game for a visit and you never left her place without her trying to affectionately send you home with something. She is also famous for enthusiastic goodbye waves from her window which continued until you were in your car and safely on your way. Mom, you will be missed more than you know but we are at ease knowing that you are at peace and happily gathered with your loved ones, enjoying a "little too-da-loo", and surely watching over us. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Marcelle can be made to Heart & Stroke Foundation of Manitoba. Our deepest appreciation to all the staff at West Park Manor for their care and compassion. Honorary pallbearers are Ryan Caron, Scott Caron, Christian Caron, Josh Cleary and Charlene Cleary. Cremation has taken place and a funeral mass celebrating her life will take place on Thursday, July 26, at 11:00 a.m. in St. Charles Roman Catholic Church, 320 St. Charles St. with Rev. Msgr. Maurice Comeault P.H. presiding. Interment will follow in Parish Cemetery. E.J. Coutu & Co. Funeral Directors 204-253-5086 ejcoutu.ca

The last time I saw aunt Marcelle was two years ago when both she and Mom were patients at the Grace Hospital. She is now safe in the Lord's arms. May the many memories be treasured in your hearts always. Pat Pantel - Daughter of Roger and Helene Piche - Posted by: Pat Pantel (Niece) on: Jul 24, 2018
