FLORENCE JANE FAVELL (nee MCFADYEN) Peacefully with her family at her side, Florence Favell, aged 85, wife of the late Gerald Favell of Matlock, MB, passed away on July 23, 2018. She is survived by her children, Sherry (Bob) McLean, Bob, Rosalie (Andrea), Cindy (Phil) Faraci; grandchildren, Joe (Kim), Twylla, Tiffany (Derek), Brandy (Troy), Philip, Anthony; great-grandchildren, Nik (Amy), Joseph, Jenna, Alexander, Noah, Brock (Andrea), Trent (Jessica), Owen, Blake, Tenley; great-great-grandchildren, Uhriya, Myla, Lyle, Ava, Griffin, Easton; sister Shirley, sister-in-law Jenny, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her parents, Sidney and Jane; mother-in-law Ann; brother Frank (Bev); and brothers-in-law, Edgar and Doug (Marion); and grandson Brent. Florence was born on September 27, 1932 in Eriksdale and raised in Camper, MB. She moved to Winnipeg where she met Gerry and they married in 1951. While raising their family she worked at Barber Ellis and later at Eatons. They raised four children in Weston where they lived for 40 years before retiring to Matlock. They attended St. Thomas' in Weston and All Saints Whytewold Anglican churches. They both loved old time fiddling music and dancing. Together they planned many family vacations, weekend camping trips and family gatherings, creating many special memories. She had many good friends and was a good friend to all. She enjoyed crafts, knitting, crotcheting, needlepoint and baking. She was happiest when she was with her family. She will be missed! A memorial service will held on Monday, July 30 at 11:00 a.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, 309 Eveline Street, Selkirk, MB with Father Robin Mather officiating. Private interment to follow.
