CLAYTON ALEXANDER LANE March 21, 1942 - July 25, 2018 It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Clayton Lane. Predeceased by his parents, Jessie and Clayton Lane; daughter Melody; brothers, Dwight, Eugene and John; sisters, Margret Cooper, Juanita Watts, Thelma Carter, Jacqueline Saunders and Maybeth Murrell. He is survived by his daughter Robin Lane; sisters, Tiny Winn, Gerri Sylvia, Shirlee Upshaw and Judith Rainey; and by brother Terry Lane. Clayton will be missed by his many nieces and nephews who preferred to call him Grampa. Clayton was born in Saskatoon, SK, but grew up in the Point Douglas area of Winnipeg attending Norquay, Aberdeen and Tec Voc schools. He was employed as a chef for City Centre Hotel for many years and chef for the Canadian Army base in Edmonton, AB, until his retirement. The family wishes to thank the staff at St. Boniface Hospital and the staff on the 5th Floor of Misericordia Health Centre for their great care of our brother.

Condolences & Memories (1 entries)

  • I worked with Clayton about 40 years ago. It was one of my first real jobs waitressing and he was the chef in a hotel in Portage la Prairie. He was great to work with and he had the greatest laugh. Very sorry for your loss. - Posted by: Laura (Previous co-worker) on: Aug 18, 2018
