Condolences & Memories (8 entries)

  • Sending my dearest condolences and prayers to Harvey and family. I just actually met Solange in July while my son and her grandson had swimming lessons together, she saw how close the boys instantly became and was so blessed that they found each other. So then we began talking everyday during swimming lessons while the boys swam, and she just had the brightest smile and a sincere positive outlook on life. She bragged about her family, and how much she loved them, her eyes would light with joy during every conversation we had. She knew her life was getting cut short and she made sure numerous times that I understood that but she insisted she was going to make it a great time. I remember clear as day, the second last time I saw her she told me she had a plan. Her plan was a garden with Angels set up all around it and each one of her children and grandchildren would have a flower in this garden and she would help these flowers grow more and more beautiful every year, she said "flowers are beautiful and make everyone happy, and that will make me happy knowing my family can look at how beautiful these flowers are growing and will instantly smile." I litterly had tears streaming down my cheeks as she told me this and she turned around and simply just said and all I ask of you is you name your calico kitten angel. "I love calicos". so Solange I did exactly as you asked and I named little Cali "angel" Rest in peace Solange and thank you for coming into our life when you did. ❤ - Posted by: Katie (*) on: Sep 02, 2018

  • Dear Harvey, Sincere condolences to you and your family at this difficult time. Solange and I go way back as school friends in Aubigny. We visited, laughed and created good memories along the way. Solange certainly had a zest for life. She was spiritual, joyful and thoughtful and caring of others. My girls and I will never forget our camping trips with Solange and her cocker spaniel, Peanut (the mean dog as my girls called him) after Ron died. My girls still talk about the good memories, sitting by the fire roasting marshmallows, etc. That was Solange, always trying to make things better. And then she was blessed to meet you, Harvey and it was another great chapter in her life. I hope the good memories, children, anniversaries you shared will help you get through this. Thank you for being there and take care. - Posted by: Yvette Saurette (friend) on: Aug 12, 2018
