ROY DONALD BRUCE 1947 - 2018 After a lengthy struggle with dementia, Roy passed away at Deer Lodge Centre on August 11, at the age of 71 years. Roy is survived by his wife Carmelle, his children Darryl and Laurel (Michael); grandsons, Skyler and Connor; as well as stepsons, Robert and Russell. He was predeceased by his father Anthony, mother Emma, and sister Joyce. Roy was employed with Manitoba Hydro for 34 years until his retirement in 2001. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing with his family and taking road trips, especially travelling to Texas. Many happy times were spent at our trailer at the lake where everyone was welcome to sit at his campfire to share stories and jokes. One of Roy's greatest pleasures was spending time with Skyler and Connor and attending their games. Thank you to Dr. G. Hasden, Maureen, Arlis, and all the staff at Deer Lodge Centre for treating Roy with the greatest of care and compassion. Also, thank you to the staff of GD5 at Health Sciences Centre for their patience and understanding with Roy while we awaited placement. A special thank you to Marjolaine for being by our side throughout this long and difficult journey. In keeping with Roy's wishes, cremation has taken place and no formal service will be held.
