FLORIPES ELDA DA COSTA BARBOSA It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our dear mother Floripes, on Friday, August 31, 2018 at the age of 85. Mom passed away with her family by her side. Floripes was predeceased by her daughter Grace; her parents, Angelina and Joao, and her sister Prizelia. Remaining to forever cherish her memory is her husband Elias; her children, Philomena (Rob) Morris, John (Melanie) Barbosa and Mary (Brent) Dreger; grandchildren, Brittany, Stephanie, Alanna (Morris), Mariah, Mikayla, Matthew (Barbosa), Brandon and Samantha (Dreger); sister Teresa, and numerous relatives in Winnipeg, Toronto, Edmonton, Halifax and Portugal. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association. The family would like to thank all those involved in her care: Charleswood Personal Care Home, Grace Hospital and Deer Lodge Centre. Prayers will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, September 6, 2018 in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Roman Catholic Church, 4588 Roblin Blvd. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, September 7 at 10:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Roman Catholic Church. Interment will be in Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. Please join the family afterward for a light lunch at Our Lady of Perpetual Help.
