HELENE PROULX (née CHOUINARD) It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Hélène Proulx, on September 6, 2018, at the Grace Hospital. She is survived by her children, Mariette (Laurent), Claude (Michelle), Brigitte (Jason), and foster son, Jeavan (and his son Mason); grandchildren, Patrick (Julia), Daniel (Shannon), Jérémie (Sarah), Gilles (Siân) and Marc (Kristin); great-grandchildren, Ethan, Kaitlyn, Rhiannon, Amélie and Rosabelle; her sister Marie (Gilbert), and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Noël, son Richard, and all but one of her siblings. Mom was the matriarch of our family and will be sorely missed. We wish to thank the staff at Actionmarguerite St. Vital / Foyer Valade for their attentive and compassionate care while she lived there as well as the staff at the Grace Hospital who tended to her and the family's needs at the end. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at Précieux Sang Roman Catholic Church, 200 Kenny Street, Winnipeg, Manitoba with Mgr. Albert Fréchette, p.h. presiding. The service will terminate at the church. A private interment of Hélène's cremated remains will take place in the Transcona Cemetery at a later date.
