SHELLY SEYS 1951 - 2018 After a brave and courageous battle with cancer, it is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Shelly Ann Seys (nee Ostrove), on September 5, 2018. She was predeceased by her father Abner, mother Helen, sister Cheryl and nephew Dale Carrothers. Leaving to mourn her passing are her spouse Ken Mondor, her brother Brad (Diane), her beloved children, Devon and Joel (Olga), father of her children Bob Seys and grandchildren: Jayden, Danica, Declan and Myla and nephews, Ryan and Mathew. Shelly made many lifetime friends over the years; she first started her working career with Silpit Industries and then moved into the family clothing business. Later she became a realtor and then moved into the floral business because of her love and natural ability with plants. Anyone that had the privilege to meet her could see she had a great sense of humour, a kind soul and huge heart. Even while Shelly was sick, she still worried more about others than herself. Shelly was her children's biggest cheerleader and number one fan, she taught them how to love unconditionally and the importance of family. She was truly the glue that kept our family together. Because of Shelly's absolute love of animals, the family asks that in lieu of flowers, that donations be made to The Winnipeg Humane Society. She couldn't adopt them all but she sure did try! Cremation has taken place and a funeral service celebrating her life will be held Wednesday, September 12 at 1:00 p.m. in the Coutu Funeral Chapel, 680 Archibald Street. E.J. COUTU & CO. • My dear friend Shelly was one of the nicest people I had the pleasure of knowing. We met in the 7th grade and our group of girlfriends stayed friends throughout our time. She was so kind and considerate and always that big smile. Everyone loved her. I had moved to Toronto 45 years ago but managed to get together with Shelly occasionally of my trips back to Winnipeg. Such a wonderful human being....the world's loss without you in it Shelly. R.I.P. - Posted by: Donna Gould (Friend since grade 7) on: Sep 08, 2018
