GARY LETKEMAN On September 4, 2018, Gary Letkeman peacefully left this world at the age of 95. He was predeceased by his wife of 66 years, Mauvereen. He is survived by his daughter Murcia (Leo) Konczak; his son Russell (Diane) Letkeman, four grand-children and eight great-grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by all. Born in Saskatchewan on August 22, 1923, Gary's life was filled with family, loyalty, and dedication. He proudly served his country as a dispatch rider in the Second World War. He was wounded in action in August 1944 and after several operations, he returned to the frontline in Germany. After his return in 1946, he married Mauvereen and they built a wonderful life together. He worked for Applied Hydraulics of Winnipeg for over 20 years before he moved to Regina. In 2014, he moved to Medicine Hat to be close to family. Gary was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and big-papa. We will miss his stories, his shrewd card playing, and his love of cakes and cookies. Cremation has taken place and interment will take place in Winnipeg at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Kidney Foundation.
