DORIS BOSCO May 20, 1941 - October 2, 2018 It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of our beloved wife, mom and Oma on October 2, 2018 with her family by her side. Doris will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 58 years, Manfred; daughters, Sue (Ken) Vanderbos and Rita (Don) Kupiak; grandchildren, Eric (Chantal) and Krista (Daryl) Scherpenzeel and Brendan and Hailey Kupiak; stepgrandchildren, Nicole (Nick) and son Zachary, and Shawn (Josey) Versluis; family and friends. Doris was predeceased by her parents, Paul and Resi Wiefel, and younger sister Beate. Born in Germany, Doris studied and worked in the pharmaceutical field until marrying the love of her life, Manfred, and moving to Canada to start their new life together in Winnipeg. Mom worked for many years in the downtown Hudson Bay Company, retiring in 1986 to care for her grandchildren. She and Dad spent many happy summers in Camp Neustadt. Oma was a kind and caring woman whose pride and joy was her family. She was eagerly awaiting the arrival of her new grandbaby due in early October. A special thank you to the emergency responders and staff in the ER and ICU at Concordia Hospital for their exceptional and compassionate care. A celebration of Doris' life will be held at Mosaic Event Centre, 1006 Nairn Ave., Winnipeg, MB on Saturday, November 3, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in Doris' memory can be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Manitoba. Doris and I use to live on Home Street and our babies where about the same age, so we went to the playground with our strollers every afternoon to use the swings there. Doris was always happy and because I am German also we had a lot to talk about. We also attended the same church. Thank you for all the good memories. - Posted by: Renate Nolius (friend and neighbore) on: Oct 08, 2018
