JUNE RODGERS (nee McBAIN) It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, on Tuesday, October 2, 2018, having just celebrated her 99th birthday. She was born in Winnipeg, on September 20, 1919, to parents, Andrew and Mabel McBain. June is survived by her sons, Jim (Joanne) and Dave (Denise); grandchildren, Brad (Shaila); Greg (Amy); Scott (Sue) and Dave Jr.; six great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her beloved husband David, in December 2006; brothers, Robert and Jack; and sister Joyce (Kinniburgh). The family extends special thanks to all the staff and resident aides at Golden West Centennial Lodge for their kindness and care during her 10-year residency there. In keeping with June's wishes, no formal service will be held. A family gathering will be held at a later date at which time June and David will be interred together in Brookside Cemetery.
