PENNEY LYNN EDWARDS
Date of Passing: Aug 14, 2018
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryPENNEY LYNN EDWARDS On the morning of August 14, 2018, our dear friend Penney Lynn Edwards passed on to a much gentler place. There was no one like our Penney - tiny, feisty and so fun loving. The daughter of Cecil and Mary Margaret Edwards, Penney grew up in Kenora, working at Edward's Trucking and eventually moving to Winnipeg. She is survived by her brother Wray (Wendy) and their family, and many cousins. Penney could light up a room even in the toughest of circumstances. All of us who loved Penney knew what her favourite word was and she used it often, sometimes with apologies and more often not. She loved her two cats, Moses and Hobo, with a passion and couldn't wait for her neighbours to stop by with their dogs to visit her. Her young friend Hannah was also a regular visitor. Penney was a stickler for detail, a bookkeeper all her working life, and so organized. She loved nothing more than a day spent crocheting afghans for her friends and family. Many a new baby was comforted by one of Penney's afghans. A huge thank you to all the people who brightened her life and our apologies to anyone that we may have missed: Don, Donovan, Sylvia, Chuck, Dave, Dan, Megan, Paul, and special thanks to Karen, Kenora Sue, cousin Jimmy, City Sue, and Eileen. Thanks to doctors and staff at Norwood Clinic, CancerCare, Palliative Care, home care, Lifeline, EMTs, St. Boniface Hospital, and Integrity. Penney would be grateful for any donations you might make to cat shelters and women's shelters. Penney, we will miss you so much but know that you are happy connecting with your mom and dad and your dear friends, Normie and Anita.
