DOMENICO REDA 1933 - 2018 It is with sadness and sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved husband and father, at the age of 85 on Monday, October 15, 2018. Domenico was predeceased by his parents, one brother and three sisters. Domenico leaves to mourn his wife Carmela; daughter Maria (Sergio); sons, Franco and Claudio (Sheila). Domenico also leaves to mourn his grandson Salvatore, and granddaughters, Emma, and Jillian. Domenico was born in Saracena, Cosenza, Italy on September 5, 1933, and shortly moved to Firmo, where he met and married the love of his life, Carmela. Domenico and his family moved to Winnipeg, Canada in the fall of 1967 to start a new life. He worked as a Bricklayer until his retirement at 60 years of age. Although retired, he still loved the trade and was always more than willing to do that special job for a friend or family member. Domenico took great pride in the building projects he was involved in throughout the community, contributing to the construction of many schools, hospitals, and apartment buildings. His face lit up as he shared these stories in his later years. Not only was he a Master Bricklayer, he was a Master Storyteller, always sharing his experience with a humorous twist. Domenico lived a wonderful, happy and full life, and cherished the memories he created with his family. The family will receive condolences at 10:00 a.m. followed by the Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church, 510 River Avenue with Rev. Father Gerry Ward presiding. Entombment will follow at Assumption Cemetery, 3990 Portage Avenue. The family would like to thank all the staff at Seven Oaks General Hospital, for the wonderful care they gave to our beloved Domenico. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Children's Wish Foundation - Manitoba Chapter, or CancerCare Manitoba. The family will receive condolences at 10:00 am followed by the Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at 11:00 am at Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church, 510 River Ave., Rev.
