I have such warm memories of being next door neighbours to the Lay's on Lindsay St., some 40 years ago. I remember Audrey welcoming me onto the block with a warm smile and genuine kindness, amidst cheery cups of tea. Audrey's youngest son Kelly soon became my "adopted brother", and there were many clay/potter's wheel lessons and bowls of ice cream shared. My condolences are extended to the Lay family. May you find comfort in the many memories that you have of your Mother, her love, strength and compassion for all. - Posted by: Gloria De Neve (Neighbour and Friend) on: Oct 30, 2018

Many memories with SCOM back-in-the-day. It was Audrey's other "baby" and she kept up the mission. Some board excursions to Brandon branch annual awards, and fun meetings in Wpg. bring back lots of chuckles. She's missed by many gals, but the Club still continues in Transcona (and Kirkfield) proving she really was on-to-something-good. - Posted by: Flo Olson (Streamliners board) on: Oct 21, 2018
