TERRY LOU (H) HNATIW It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Terry Lou (H) Hnatiw on Thursday, October 18, 2018. He leaves to mourn his wife Bonnie "Love Chunks", the love of his life for over 30 years. Terry and Bonnie were more than just husband and wife, they were best friends and loved every minute of all their years and time together. Terry loved the outdoors, he loved woodworking and tinkering in his workshop. He enjoyed sharing projects with Bonnie and puttering around the house. He also leaves to mourn, his mother Erika, sister Kelly, and brothers, Dean and Kirk, as well as many nieces and nephews, and his extended family on the east coast. His friends in Winnipeg and out of town will also miss him terribly. The family would like to extend many thanks to the staff on the 6th Floor of the St. Boniface Hospital Internal Medicine. They were more than just caregivers but Terry's friends and he was very grateful to them for the excellent care and compassion they always showed. Cremation has taken place and as per Terry's wishes, there will be no service. Donations accepted to CancerCare Manitoba Foundation in Terry's name.

I am so late in writing this . . . We met Terry when I was employed with Excalibur Shelving Systems in NH and Terry was with Yellow Freight. My local rep with YFS sent us to Charlotte for a NASCAR race. This is where we met Terry. My husband and I quickly bonded a relationship with him. We had many things in common - Yellow Freight and my husband owns a construction company and then there was snowmobiling. We stayed in touch throughout the years. Sending Christmas cards and Weaver Bros. Construction beverage glasses!! What a great guy and so easy to talk to. Although we only knew him for a short time and only met him in Charlotte - we will not forget him. Prayers to Bonnie and family. - Posted by: Jeff & Darcey Bates (Business Friend) on: Oct 03, 2024

I am deeply saddened by the passing of Terry (H). I've had a 45 year friendship with Terry, and I bonded with him the first day I met him in grade 10 in 1974. We shared a love of sports, cars, motorcycles, and music. He loved reminiscing and loved going out with friends and having a good time and having lots of laughs. He talked a lot about his good fortune of meeting and marrying Bonnie, the love of his life. I consider it my good fortune that I had Terry in my life. He was a great guy and a great friend, and I will miss him terribly. I will forever have a lifetime of memories and laughs. My deepest heart felt condolences to Bonnie and her family and to the Hnatiw family. - Posted by: J. Olenko (Long time friend) on: Nov 04, 2018

Aunt Bonnie, I’m so very sorry to hear of Terry’s passing. Although he and I only met a couple of times, I have fond memories of him in the form of all the videos that were taken during Aunt Barbara’s 25th year jubilee in 1990, which also happened to be the very first home videos ever taken of Stephen and I. Watching them, I can see that Terry was so kind to us as young children, along with having a great sense of humour. My condolences go out to you and those on Terry’s side of your family who are also mourning his loss. - Posted by: Sarah, Brianne and Kassidy (Niece ) on: Nov 01, 2018

Terry was a good friend to both of us for many years. We had many good times as we all grew up together in our teenage years. He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by us and we will continue to share stories of our good times with him. Sincerely, Perry and Janis Dola - Posted by: Perry and Janis Dola (Friends) on: Oct 29, 2018

Sincere condolences, Erika, and to the rest of your family. I remember happy times at your trailer in Winnipeg Beach and you were always so kind to Wendy, Jay, and me. How the years have flown by since then. Hope you will find comfort being with your family and those who care. Chris - Posted by: Chris Ranick (Friend) on: Oct 28, 2018

Although knowing Terry a short time in Sandy Hook, I found he and Bonnie to be one of the nicest couples I have ever met. Terry was down to earth, enjoyed life and was always smiling and enjoying life. Deb and I will miss him. - Posted by: rick vandekerkhove (friend-neighbour) on: Oct 28, 2018

I'm so sorry to hear about Terry. I haven't seen him for years. He was a great person and awesome through business dealings. Such a pure, sweet guy. He started out as a business relationship but became friends and he was a confidante to me. He always spoke of Bonnie - though I never met her I felt I knew her. I'm saddened by this news. My condolences to Bonnie and family. - Posted by: Lisa MacIntyre (Friend) on: Oct 27, 2018
