Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEMILE MARSHALL Born: July 16, 1937 Graduated to Heaven: October 30, 2018 Peacefully, with love and heartfelt care, Emile Marshall entered the Kingdom of Heaven on October 30, 2018 in his 81st year. We are truly blessed that he was aware and able to communicate with his family throughout these final days. Emile grew up in a hard-working farm family of seven in Ste Rose du Lac. It was here that he met and courted Annette Parthenay, whom he married in 1960. The couple moved to Winnipeg in 1965, where Emile found his calling as a commercial painter until his retirement. The family grew steadily, with daughter Carol in 1965, Patsy in 1969, Kimberley in 1972, and Randy in 1974. Family forever remained the most important aspect of Emile's life. An avid outdoorsman, Emile enjoyed hunting, fishing, and many family trips. Emile was blessed with 50 years of marriage with Annette. After her passing in 2010, he met and courted Beatrice Mair, eventually becoming the sweetest definition of bride and groom. Their twilight years were filled with travel, regular visits to the Whiteshell and Vassar, as well as the hobby of thrifting. The diagnosis that no one ever wants arrived shortly after his 80th birthday. Emile chose to face his cancer using non-traditional treatments, a decision that provided a quality of life that kept him out of hospital, and around the ones he loved. Emile is survived by his bride Beatrice, daughter Carol Marshall-Clark (groom Michael), daughter Patsy Ringling (groom Vance), daughter Kimberley Marshall (partner Steve Forrest), and son Randy Marshall (bride Jennifer), plus eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. The family would like to express their gratitude to Beatrice's daughter Brenda and her husband Richard Hurd for providing round-the-clock bedside care for Emile in his final hours. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 3, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at the Springs Church Annex, 725 Lagimodiere Boulevard. A private interment will occur with the family at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests a donation to a favourite charity of the person's choosing in Emile's name. A life truly lived 100 percent...

I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Marshall this past May while visiting my mom who has been Mrs. Marshall's next-door-neighbor for many decades. I wish to extend my deepest sympathy to Mrs. Marshall, to her family, and of course, to Mr. Marshall's family on their loss. - Posted by: Sharon Lebeda (Daughter to Emile and Beatrice Marshall's Neighbor Joan Pilkey) on: Nov 07, 2018

So sorry for your loss. I have a lot of fond memories of Emile back from the old days usually involving a few pops. Emile had a way with words, short and to the point, he would call a spade a spade. From these words of wisdom are a few quotes we still use today, gone but not forgotten Emile. My deepest sympathies to the family. - Posted by: Darcy Jones (Friend to the Marshalls) on: Nov 01, 2018

So sorry to hear about your dad. Although I didn't know him that well the times I did meet him were good and funny times. A very sweet and funny man. I know Randy where you got your sense of humor! - Posted by: Rachel Rioux (Friend of Randy and Jennifer) on: Nov 01, 2018
