NORMAN MURRAY MYMKO It is with great sadness that we announce Norman Murray Mymko's passing at the age 77. Norman passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, at Rideau Park Personal Care Home in Brandon. Norman was a very loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. Our memories of Norman will live on with love and admiration by his loving wife Isabelle, of 57 years, sons, Barry (Sue), Terry (Diane), Steve (Laurie) and Richard (Jennifer), daughter Pamela (Dale King), 14 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and four sisters, Muriel, Pat, Micheline and June (Dennis Laswika). Norman was predeceased by his mother, father, and sister Lyla. Norman was very well respected by all his friends and family; he gave his time unconditionally without ever seeking credit or reward. He was always available to his family, friends and neighbours, no job was ever too big. Norman's favourite pastimes were hunting, fishing, camping, golf, cards, dancing and travelling. Norman was a very dedicated firefighter, with 29 years of service, retiring as a Senior Fire Prevention Officer. Norman was a true hero in everything he did. A strong man with a big heart, he will be deeply missed by those that had the privilege of knowing him. The family would like to thank Norman's second family; the staff of Rideau Park Personal Care Home. Norman's funeral service will be held Friday, November 16, 2018 at St. Augustine Church at 10:00 a.m. in Brandon, MB. Father Michael Savarimuthu will officiate. Interment will take place at a later date at St. Jude's Roman Catholic Cemetery in Erickson, MB. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Norman's memory to the Firefighter's Burn Fund or Rideau Park Personal Care Home, Activity Department, Brandon. Remembrances and condolences may be shared at www.raesfs.ca Rae's Funeral Service of Shoal Lake and Erickson in care of the arrangements. 1 (204) 759-2160.
