Condolences & Memories (2 entries)

  • Sophie & myself worked with both Shirley and Basil in Winnipeg and Montreal. Shirley & Basil both were wonderful, beautiful, warm and caring individuals. Always available and eager to help with anything. Even today we still live in the house they were originally thinking of purchasing but then urged us to purchase which we did. Their humble and gentle manners were one you will rarely ever meet in a lifetime. They treated our son and daughter as if they were their aunt & uncle from beginning never missing a birthday or X-mas for and followed their growing years with interest. How do you ever forget people like them so special in so many ways. Recently we arrived in Winnipeg on a Wednesday and planned to surprise Shirley and we had brought many photos which she enjoyed so much but she had passed on Monday. Shirley your gentle soul and kindness will never be forgotten and may you rest in peace in God's arms forever. Our condolences also goes out to the family for their loss. Good-bye old friend till we meet again. Bryan, Sophie, Lara, & Shaun Johnston...Ile Perrot, Quebec (Montreal) - Posted by: Sophie & Bryan Johnston & family (Long time friend) on: Nov 19, 2018

  • Shirley was a wonderful, beautiful person! She and Basil lived next door to us on Beecher and they have always been humble, supportive and kind people you will ever meet. We continue to set up your candy cane lights during the Christmas season that you gave us and we will forever be grateful for your kindness. Condolences to the family. We will miss you and Basil.
