CHRISTIAN CARON
Born: Nov 16, 1982
Date of Passing: Nov 16, 2018
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCHRISTIAN CARON November 16, 1982 - November 16, 2018 Tragically, on November 16, 2018, Christian lost his life. He is survived by his son Caden, parents, Ron and Mercedes Caron, sister Charlene, brother-in-law Josh Cleary, niece and nephew, Olivia and Marcus, and his Memere Valentine Bernardin. He will be dearly missed by countless aunts, uncles, cousins, close friends and Caden's mom, Sara. He is predeceased by uncle Grant (Butchy) Caron and his grandparents, Denis and Marcelle Caron, Raymond Bernardin and Charles Balmer. Christian was a proud alumni of St. Paul's High School, graduating in the year 2000. During his time at St. Paul's he played on both the rugby and hockey team, forming meaningful friendships and most importantly, learned the importance of service to others. After attending university for a few years, Christian joined the family business, Valmar Airflo Inc. in Elie where he was for many years. In 2016 he went to work in Fort Mac where he excelled and was voted union rep by fellow workers. He loved the artistry of tattoos. He recently obtained his tattoo apprenticeship. He would often be found drawing and sketching. His passion for tattooing originated in his love for people and their stories. His family finds comfort in knowing his art and intentions touched so many people. The love of Christian's life was his son Caden - he was so proud of the little man he is becoming. After years of battling addiction, the brutal forces that stole his spirit finally took him away. That is not how he will be remembered. Christian had an unmatched charm and a magnetic personality, always lighting up the room. He was quick-witted and excelled at new things with little effort. He connected easily with people from all walks of life and cared deeply for his friends and family. He loved music, cooking (and eating), laughing and, most of all, spending time with his son. His warm spirit and kind soul will live forever in our hearts. "I am sorry this world could not keep you safe, may your journey home be a soft and peaceful one." All are welcome to attend a celebration of his life on Sunday, November 25 at 4:30 p.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help, 4588 Roblin Blvd. Pallbearers: Josh Cleary, Scott McNicol, Reagan Kruger, Michael Fanset, Blair Ritchot and Kyle McPherson. Christian's family has set up a memorial fund to support people living with mental health and substance use disorders. Please consider contributing to the "The Christian Caron Memorial Fund". Donations can be made by mailing a cheque to the Noventis Credit Union, 5240 Portage Avenue, Headingley, MB R4H 1E1, payable to "The Christian Caron Memorial Fund" or by email money transfer to christiancaronmemorialfund@gmail.com. Christian visited my life and journey for 3 weeks at the end of August into mid Sept. Of course I was attracted to him through his sense of humour. My father gave me mine which I am grateful. So we connected so well that we just rolled over laughing and couldn’t stop laughing many times every hour every day. This does not come along often. It was a gift. We subsequently got together a few times but perhaps not enough. I know he has touched so many people. I know he is looking down on us. I know he wishes well.I know he is at peace. God grant us the serenity...My condolences. - Posted by: Brian T (friend of Christian) on: Nov 25, 2018

We are so sorry for the loss of your beloved son, brother, Dad, and uncle. While we didn’t have the fortune to know him well, we each remember Christian’s warmth and smile when we talked at our son's hockey games. We notice that so many of Christian’s strengths live on in Caden, including his radiance, charm, wit, and caring deeply for his friends and family. We believe that Christian is in peace, free from pain, and warmly watching over you with love and kindness. We are thinking of you with sympathy as you carry on after your devastating loss. - Posted by: Kevin & Karen Dandewich (Friends of family ) on: Nov 24, 2018

I met Christian the year we moved to Winnipeg. I found him to be very witty, nice and engaging. I am sorry for your family's loss and hope his son is well. I work with people who struggle with addiction and mental health issues. It is a health issue and not a moral one. Remember him as a good person because he was. - Posted by: Angela (Neighbour ) on: Nov 24, 2018

We grew up with the Caron family. Our parents have been very close friends with one another going way back in time and in turn; we became close childhood friends with both Charlene and Christian when we were younger. Christian was an amazing guy who was taken from us too soon. We are aware of the struggles he had in life over the past few years, may he finally be at peace. Until we meet again one day up there buddy. You will be missed and never forgotten. R.I.P. Christian. Xoxo - Posted by: Tara Friesen (Close friend of the family) on: Nov 22, 2018
