Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySHEILA RUTH EAST (nee BURNS) 1936 - 2018 Sheila died peacefully at Riverview Health Centre, in the early morning of Monday, November 19, 2018, in her home town of Winnipeg, Manitoba. Sheila will remain in the hearts of her four children, Katie (Shane), Paul (Carol), Sean, Mary (Bill); and her precious grandchildren, Beth (Steve), Zona (Casey), Emma, Sarah, Sam, Matt, Ryan, Joe and Nick; as well as her much loved nieces and nephews, Mike (Wanda), Maureen (Duncan), Matt (Lori), Allison and their dear children, Patrick, Nicole, Dylan, Holly, Neva and Charlie; sisters-in-law, Betty and Joyce; dear friends and extended family, Amy, Helen, Sharon, Kathy and Matthew (Elyse). She was predeceased by her beloved husband Neil (1984); father John; nephew John; her wonderful mother Florence; and siblings, John and Patricia. The circle of people whose lives intersected with Sheila is extensive and her gifts of intelligence, humour and warm caring have been experienced by many. The lessons she taught us will remain with us and her graciousness, in even the most trying of times, is an example that will never leave those who love her. She will be dearly missed. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. in Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church, 510 River Avenue, with Rev. Fr. Sam Argenziano presiding. Thank you to Dr. Brighid Drain at Tuxedo Family Medical for the years of wonderful care, the nurses at the Community Palliative Care Program and to the wonderful doctors, nurses and healthcare aides of 3 East at the Riverview Health Centre. So sorry to read of Sheila's passing. She was the perfect executive secretary at CJOB and the perfect partner to Neil, both in marriage and in business. She shared so many happy stories about her family holiday cruises with my late wife Carol and myself.
