I'm gonna miss all Elmar's stories. It was the best part of going to his shop when you needed a tool. I would take him some of my homemade beer and he would always have a few bottles of store bought beer as a gift for me to try. Great guy and honest businessman. Not to many people work until they're 88 years old. My condolences to Peter and the family. - Posted by: Terry Trelka (Friend) on: Feb 21, 2019

My condolences to Fred and Peter. Your dad was a very nice man and I have many great memories of visiting with your family when we were young. He was always kind and always had a smile on his face; and loved to joke around. Your father will be missed very much. - Posted by: Christine Kurkowski (Washen) (Friend of family) on: Nov 25, 2018

Fred, Peter sorry to hear about the passing of your Dad. What a great guy. Thanks to your Dad, Mom and both of you for a great childhood growing up on Sawchuck Bay. Always remember your Dad when visiting your home, hanging out, building Lego, wood blocks, go carts, the hot wheels sandbox, bike ramps in front of your house. Glad to have enjoyed taking trips to Dawson Rentals and out to Folklorama. Great memories of your Dad and family. - Posted by: Craig Potts (Neighbours ) on: Nov 25, 2018

Mr Schumpp always help my family be it a flood, school project, needing something from his shop etc. I grew up at the Schumpp's house and was always there. The family was warm and helpful. I have nothing but good memories of Mr Schumpp. My condolences to Fred and Peter. - Posted by: Mike & Monica Washen (Family friends.) on: Nov 24, 2018
