Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLOREEN ELIZABETH (WELLS) MCKAY October 28, 1918 November 22, 2018 Our dear Mom, Loreen, celebrated a full life of 100 years. She was born in Saskatoon just before the end of the First World War. During the 1930's, in Maymont, Saskatchewan she was principle and school teacher in a one room prairie school. Loreen spoke fondly of her years working for the College of Physicians and Surgeons in Saskatoon. In 1948 she married Bill McKay, a young Civil Engineer from Portage La Prairie. They had three children, Kent, Nancy and Jeff. The family moved to Winnipeg in 1968. Art and music were always part of who Loreen was. She loved to feed and entertain extended family, which she did her entire life. She and Bill were members of Grace Church and St. Peters Anglican. Many people's lives were touched by this thoughtful, wise and gracious person who we knew and loved as our mom.
