MICHAEL JOHN YOUNG 1946 - 2018 With great sadness we announce the passing of Michael John Young on November 27, 2018 at the age of 72. Michael was predeceased by his parents, Robert and Winifred, sister Jean, sister-in-law Helen, and niece Zoe. Michael is survived by his wife Betty, daughters, Angela and Cindy (Michael), brothers, Robert and Alan (Paula), sister Yvonne (Kevin), as well as many in-laws, cousins, nieces and nephews. Michael came to Winnipeg in 1967 from England and met the love of his life Betty. Together, they raised two daughters and shared 50 beautiful years which will always be cherished. Michael was a devoted husband and father and will always be remembered for being a jack of all trades and for his never ending willingness to help friends and family no matter how great or specialized the task. Michael will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by many. In keeping with Michael's wishes, cremation along with an immediate family memorial service has taken place. The family extends their sincerest gratitude to all of the staff at CancerCare Manitoba and Health Sciences Centre for the care and compassion they gave to our dear husband and father. In Michael's honour, donations can be made to CancerCare Manitoba Foundation for esophageal cancer research.

I am very sorry to hear about Uncle Mike’s passing. I unfortunately haven’t seen him in 30 plus years and have missed truly knowing him.
