Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryALLAN LAWRENCE SMITH November 25, 1944 - December 9, 2018 It is with great sadness that we announce Allan's passing after a battle with brain cancer. Allan considered himself to be a fortunate man. He had the love and support of his wife Pat for fifty-one years. Allan was proud of the accomplishments and the exemplarily kindness demonstrated by his two sons, Darold (Joanne) and Barret (Sara). His sons and daughter-in-laws gifted him his four beautiful grandchildren, Tristan, Amber, Emerson and Makenna. Also left to mourn him are his brothers, Dennis (Anne) and Bill, his sister-in-laws, Penny (Dave) and Gail, along with his nieces and nephews. Allan loved the music of the 50s and 60s and was an avid reader. He also made memories during his early childhood in Rainy River and in his high school years at Earl Grey and Kelvin High. Allan spent time in Dryden working in the printing industry and coaching hockey before returning to Winnipeg. As per his request a private family memorial will be held at a later date.

Dear Pat and family, So sorry to find out of Allan's passing. He was a gentle soul and always a good cousin to me when we were young and lived in Rainy River, especially when my brother John was picking on me. So glad I got to see him at Aunty Margie's 100th birthday party. I will be thinking of you during this difficult time and wish I had a magic wand to ease your loss.
